Hello you beautiful people and welcome to Aligned Advantage for September!
I’m so excited to go on this deep dive of each month’s calendar together using the power of the woo-woo tools my momma taught me. π
Hooray!
It’s time to tackle the September calendar so here we go!
NOTE: Our Zoom on September 22nd will be about October‘s magic. Scroll down to get registered to be a part of that *next* session! ’til then, it’s all about September.
As always, we’ll cover what the numerology of the days mean, what the moon phases tell us, and of course how all this plays out in your favor in the most intriguing and powerful ways! During the Zoom, you’ll get a chance to hop in the hot seat — be sure to bring your chart (render it at a site like Astro.com) so I can work my magic with you — and we’ll talk about how the woo of the month aligns with YOU!
Please feel free to ask questions in the comments area below and while some will be best-suited for our live Zoom, certainly I’ll do what I can to help explain some of how I make the calendar work for me in the comments before and after our Zooms.
If you need support materials for interpreting the various notations on this calendar, head back over to your Aligned Advantage Welcome page, where I have stored all sorts of goodies for you!
And now… the replay of our live Zoom session about the September calendar and all its juicy goodness! Enjoy!
If you’re craving a “You in the Stars” report (um, these make great GIFTS, by the way; thank you to those who have been stocking up on these for your friends) or if you’d like to book a one-on-one with me for more woo, all the info on these offerings is here. You can even download a sample PDF of the report there too. Woo HOO!
Questions? Keep ’em comin’! I love these discussions SO MUCH and really enjoy sharing all this learning with you.
Y’all, thank you for joining me in this exciting woo-woo venture! I’m so proud to be the astrologer’s daughter and I know Charlsie is so happy to see this happening right now. π
All my love,

And of course, any questions for me, pop ’em in below! Woo HOO!
I have Scorpio in my 6th house and I spend hours and hours on Amazon to check every fricking listing of the thing I want to buy and then I still have to compare my choices to narrow it down. Lol. So annoying and I can’t help it.
Isn’t it lovely to know WHY?!? π If it gets for you like my Virgo 12th house got for me, you’ll catch yourself doing it and feeling like you can’t help it and then you’ll say, “Scorpio 6th!” and then just be done with it. I say, “Virgo 12th house!” all the time when I’m in that loop. π
Same, Ivett, same. Later that night, after the Zoom, as I was finishing reading a children’s book for research I said, “I don’t need to read the 2 sequels, they won’t help me or give me any new info.” Saved me 4 days of unnecessary reading that I can now put towards reading something more beneficial. Fucking Scorpio, man.
Yayayayayayayay!
What a great way to put Scorpio in its place. I’m not saying it doesn’t have its brilliant purposes, but when it comes to those little things, OMG, so good to just say, “We’re DONE” and be done!
Being so aware of it now has been a life and TIME saver. Whenever I’m about to research ANYTHING I say, “Okay, what’s the first best option?” Boom. I’m done in 5 minutes instead of reading endless reviews (which *can* be entertaining).
THAT is big. Think of the aggregate effect this will have in your life… WOW. π So good!
OMG me too! It explains soooo much. I’m totally the person who has to do all the background research to know the foundations of anything before I move forward. It was great in grad school, so great for anything else.
Loved this replay and thinking about my Virgo 6th house (love that yoga practice all day every day – especially set sequences!) but also my Pisces 12th House because yoga is both a movement practice and a spiritual practice. Makes so much sense!
Also that yoga is about the small details of refinement over time that free the body and spirit. Virgo loves a checklist!
I was curious that Sept. starts as a 5 but the last day of August is a 7. Is a reset like this common? I am still very new to numerology so have no idea! Thank you, my calendar and I appreciate your insights.
So, you’re treating the calendar as if the days of the month and the month itself don’t actually CHANGE to new numbers when we flip the monthly calendar. π
Here’s why it changes:
August is an 8.
September is a 9.
August 2020 is a 3.
September 2020 is a 4.
August 31, 2020 is a 7.
September 1, 2020 is a 5.
The first day of September is NOT August 32nd. π That’s what your brain is trying to do with sequential numbers, rather than adding down the numerological elements individually to get there.
Make sense?
So glad the juxtaposition of opposite signs helps you with the 12th/6th house bolstering. And OF COURSE your 6th house is Virgo. That’s so “stay on your mat” right?
YES! This occurred to me after I posted my question but I am so glad to know for sure! It was my Virgo 6th house needing to know. I blame her!
Yes, stay on my mat! Always. A Life lesson across the board for me! Also another example of how my chart is what ‘it is’. Sun, sun, moon, moon, ambition, ambition, etc. Work, work. π #SoOnBrand <3
Also, I loved the counting thing from As endear to find the signs in each house – so helpful!
Iβm one of those unusual signs where I have two houses for some signs and zero houses for some signs. Let me know if this is too granular for our discussions here – but I have double Cancer (3 AND 4) and double Capricorn (9 AND 10). Zero Libra and Aries. Mean anything? Or just one of those things? I have no Aries in my chart anywhere and the only Libra is Pluto, which is generational so it snuck in there. ;). QuickStart Fire energy and air are week on my chart so wonder if I should strengthen them like Bonnie talks about at the start of the Zoom this week. β€οΈ
You definitely have every sign and every house in your chart (we all do); it’s just a matter of how much. Use a site like https://astroapp.com/astro/astro.jsp. Here’s today’s chart a few minutes ago. See the right bottom sidebar. That lists off what sign each house is in and by your description (please correct me if I’m misunderstanding your comment), a sign like Pisces “doesn’t exist” in a house because the houses skip signs from Aquarius to Aries, right? But in fact Pisces does exist (and we have the help of two placements in Pisces to confirm that). Even if we didn’t have those placements in Pisces, Pisces still exists, even though it is not a house ruler in this chart (which would be the natal chart of someone just born today). Same is true for you.
Does this help or make it more confusing? LOL I know it’s a lot!
Yes, that makes sense! I have two signs that aren’t House Rulers. They exist but they don’t run any of my houses. I have two signs that run two houses (like Bosses!). So I have Cancer and Capricorn both in charge of two houses and Aries and Libra are in charge of none. Fascinating! Excited to understand what this might mean as I learn more. Thank you! <3
YESSSSSS!! Perfect! All four of those are Cardinal signs, so that’s plenty of boss for everyone! π
Cool! My 6th house is in Virgo as well! Funny, just sent out an email explaining I am changing my schedule to make it more consistent BEFORE I watched the Replay! AND revamped my weekly schedule as well.
Heyyy and Kelly, my Birthday is Sept. 17th as well!! Great new moon intention setting! Let’s go September!!!!
Woo HOO! π So good!
With the Void Moon times would be it be a good planning practice to take that time off to read a book or catch up with friends or doing mundane things we might not normally make time for like deep tidying those piles of stuff that try to build up around the house or the bane of my existence – dusting :)?
Also curious about the sheer number of Void Moon days this 9-20 month. Is there something about the placing of the orbits of the moon, earth, and planets that is making the cycle appear to be less than the usual 2-3 days and as a result having more transition in void times than usual?
So, there are always ~12 void moons per month (one for each sign) and they last from 1 minute to (the longest I’ve ever seen) 33 hours. I only put the ones on the calendar that are ~8 hours or more because that’s enough of the day to merit a little adjusting to the schedule, potentially. But if you use an app like iLuna you can see (and get alerts for) the shorter ones.
The reason each change of signs creates a void moon is because there is “business” that the moon is doing, astrologically (transiting things, conjuncting things, opposing things, trining things, squaring things, etc.) and then there’s a moment when the moon is “done” doing all that business. She just hangs out in the sign she’s been in for those couple o’ days and does no business ’til she enters the next sign. That INACTIVE time is what we call a void moon (or moon void-of-course).
We treat the void moon like a mini Mercury retrograde (the planetary experience most similar to the void moon, with which we have the most fluency, culturally). That means things we THINK are gonna go a certain way (because they’re activities the moon usually favors) may not go that way. I have a list of things to avoid, per moon phase, here (archive from our Expansive Capacity Woo-Woo Wednesday collection).
Fun stuff! I love that you’re digging in on this!
Also, for you personally, with all your natal retrogrades, remember to translate anything you read that is external as, “For me, this focus may turn internal.” It may not always be that way, but it’s a layer to consider, in interpretation (sort of like me with my left-handedness interpretation — discussed here).
Bonnie – I finally finished watching the reply and have a question about my 12th house actually. Both my 6th and 12th are split and when I count 12 signs forward from my AC line (Gemini) it seems my 6th is Scorpio which makes my 12th Taurus. I’m confused since my YITS report said Aries is my 12th house. Am I counting wrong? Can you confirm what my 12th house actually is?
Here’s a “things that make you go hmmmm” – I was watching the video and you were talking about the Mars retro on the 9th when my internet connection dropped out and crashed. At the same time the iLuna app pinged that Aries moon had started. Um….coincidence? It felt weird.
Finally, I’m a 4 girl and it’s a 4 month in a 4 year. Is there anything I need to know to optimize for GSD during this time?
Marie
Aries is your 12th house, Marie. You can see the little stack of info in the left-side table of the chartwheel (the artwork in the YITS report but also in the non-YITS attachment that was in your email), there’s an area that says AC, 2, 3 and then MC, 11, 12. The 12 = Aries, so Aries is your 12th house.
In the Placidus house system, each sign is 30 degrees, but each house is NOT 30 degrees. That’s why sometimes you’ll have a house that’s got two — even three — signs associated with it. There’s way too much to read about this and I’m still wrapping my brain around it myself, but here’s something that helped me with this when it was sort of breaking my brain to see houses and signs not line up the way my mind wants them to.
Since Mars is in Aries right now, that timing seems especially crazy/cool! I’m actually taking a class next week all about Mars retrograde. It’s got some big impact it’s gonna create for us… so I’ll have even more to share about it in our next Zoom. π
Being a 4 means you already put in the work (even turn resting into work if you’re not mindful about that). It being a 4 year means this whole year is about putting in the work for the world we all planted seeds for in the last 1 year the world had (2017). It being a 4 month means this month is about putting in the work for the world we all planted seeds for in the last 1 month the world had (June). All of this also means that anything 4 (a 4 day, a 4 month, a 4 year) just has a tone of “putting in the work.” Think Earth signs. Rolling up the sleeves. Getting right down to it. Business time. (For those who don’t LIKE work, it’s struggle energy.)
Being a 4 means you already have a setpoint of putting in the work, so it’s a bit like EVERYBODY ELSE catches up with your resting speed, when so much is aligned with that 4 energy. Sort of like being born with something in retrograde, and then when that planet is in retrograde now, you’re more “in residence” for the energy, so to speak. And of course, asking about optimizing GSD days is a very 4, very Capricorn thing to do. π
Where I would really look at a GSD day being powerful is when you’re born NOT a 4, NOT a Capricorn (maybe born something that’s already pretty inward-focused a number and not terribly action-taking if paired with a dreamy sign… so like a 7 Pisces, let’s say), and a 4 would allow a 7 Pisces to actually have some inclination to get stuff done! For you? You’re always gonna feel the GSD energy because you’re soaking in it! π
Glad you enjoyed the replay!
Thanks for the explanation and the link. I’ll dig into it. I get what you mean about even my resting being work….I just bought a travel trailer so that I can GTFO into the woods to relax but still be able to run my business without having to be in an office. Um…so yea. Apparently a very 4-Capricorn thing huh? And…I’m currently working from a campground in WI where I work by day and watch stars at night. The full moonrise the other day was SPECTACULAR!
In the 1 year (2017) I started Polaris Talent and this year was supposed to be a killer year for us and then…bam…covid. We’re working 4x as hard to just barely achieve what we did in 2018 and I’ve decided that will be a win just to hit a smaller revenue mark but still be standing at year end. I’ve had to really dig deep on the hustle this year but it’s been sort of fun (there’s that hard work thing again). The info you have been sharing has helped me understand the “why” behind the “how”.
Looking forward to more learning!
One of my mantras for 2020 has been, “Just get out of this year alive,” at times. I mean, really. Unless we started out as Bezos, the odds of ending the year still in business is a miracle for most of us.
Another mantra is, “Even in 2020, we’ve managed to bring money in. We’ve managed to grow. We’ve managed to heal and help so many others. We’ve managed to thrive…” and I continue stacking more and more positive spins on the struggle of 2020. Feel free to try on any of those!
Considering that it’s a 9-year cycle, there’s still plenty of time for the seeds you planted to be brought to fruition. OF COURSE the 4 year would be hard work (and that would be true, COVID or no COVID). I look forward to seeing how you celebrate and bring more fun and play and recklessness into your life and business in your 5 year! π
Slowly catching up on things and looking forward to watching this replay soon. In the meantime I had some revelations lately.
1. Bonnie – keep the technical terms (trine, square, etc) coming. It’s really helping me figure this out and make sense of it all. It makes more sense for my logical brain.
2. I came to the grim realization today while driving (and talking to myself) that since I’m basically only fixed air, I’m essentially one of those wacky inflatable tube-man car dealership thingies. Please respect my privacy during this difficult time.
Yes. That is the perfect visual. Rooted and all floppy-flingy arms. All over the place but only within those limits. Oops. I did not respect your privacy. π The visual was just TOO good. Thank you for bringing that into our lives.
So glad you like geeking out on trine, square, oppose, conjunct, etc., because as I continue learning more I’ll probably let more of them out as I review the calendar. I’ll draw the line at quincunx, sesquiquadriate, and semi-sextiles. For now. π Seriously, my notebook is PACKED with terminology and stories and puzzles I make up for myself to remember it all (and I don’t remember it all… yet).
Excited for all you’re learning! π Have you started profiling other people yet? I’d love to know how good you are at it (I imagine you’d be quite good at it, quickly, just knowing you).
It’s all good! It IS a great visual. Why!?!
Honestly, go as far as you need to with the terminology… cuz I already looked them all up and aded them into my master astro spreadsheet early last month assuming they’d be worth knowing in time.
I was hoping to get to other people last month but, ya know, life. Hoping to soon. I don’t know *why* I thought I’d be able to focus on this, EC, Woo fast track (which I haven’t even touched yet) in addition to work, life, acting, and writing all at the same time. Actually I do. As we discussed in January, being an 8 in a 2 year is fun! So very fun. That’s totally what it is. And it’s starting to become even more clear in other ways, too.
PREACH!! Girl, you described my Air-dominant-8-in-a-2-year life right there. Ugh. Give yourself a wee rest if you can!!
Amelia! Kristen! Anyone else who’d like to tune in! In the last five minutes of this podcast, Natalie covers the whole 6 natal retrogrades thing! Check it out! I love her perspective (on so many things).
Hi Bonnie
I am trying to find a good day to create a 5-year long career plan. I thought about the new moon on the 17th, but that’s more like a 6-months plan and right now it’s Virgo, which is not necessarily long-term career-focused. What type of cosmic day would be good for something like this? I am thinking something with Capricorn, right?
You’re in the right ballpark. Capricorn is great for DOING the work more than planning the work, though. I’d lean toward Taurus, as it’s great for big picture, long-term work and plans (and it’s great with money, too). Since we’re in Taurus moon right now, if you could get some work done in this area before Tuesday midday, that’d be amazing. The 2 of Monday is a little doubt-focused for my liking, but if you extend the work into Tuesday (a 3), I like that combo a lot for this project.
If your 5-year plan could stand to be more dreamy and less nuts-and-bolts, you could use the next Pisces moon. Maybe you could do the bulk of it right now and then come back to it both on the new moon in Virgo on the 17th and then once again under Pisces moon on the 29th. That combo of three passes could be really good!! Just make sure the Mars retro energy (starting on the 9th) doesn’t make you doubt your passion for the plans you have! That’s only temporary and it’s all Mars (not you). Promise!
Thank you so much! That’s a great plan. I will do it in 3 chunks π
Yay! Be sure to track how you FEEL as you’re doing each segment. I’d love to know if the focus is as on-point as I’m predicting it will be. π (You’ve got me thinking about a 5-year plan too, Ivett. Thank you!!)
How do sun events like the equinox this month play into all the Woo? I noticed it’s not noted on the calendar so is it a non-event planet-wise?
It’s an omission I actually *just* caught last night while doing the draft of the Q4 2020 calendars for my team to start designing. I was putting the equinox on for December and went, “Hey! Where’s the September one?” Sure enough… left that one off.
So, yes, it plays into the woo! π I use equinoxes as times to set quarterly/100-day intentions and to purge anything that is holding over from last season (great decluttering energy). And if they’re near a new/full moon, I’ll fold that equinox work into that moon ritual. What do you tend to do, Marie?
My question isnβt astrology, but it is WOO. Do you happen to know of any reputable psychics available for readings?
Looking forward to the next session! π
I love Aliza Rose, The Business Mystic. I don’t think she bills herself as a psychic, but she always gets these great intuitive hits when she’s doing my business readings. She would KNOW some people to recommend, I’d imagine, if it’s outside her wheelhouse.
I also work with Dana Middleton for EFT coaching and Bree Melanson (she and I have a co-taught course you may want to check out about releasing the struggling artist mindset). Both will get intuitive hits and share those as we work. Always very spot-on.
I guess I don’t actually know any psychics though! Maybe someone else here may know of someone to check out?
Thanks!! I reached out to Aliza Rose.
I appreciate the recommendations.
Also, what in the stars should have told me not to get out of bed, get on Zoom, leave my house or even talk to people?? Literally today has been the shittiest day on record for 2020 and thatβs really saying something!
{{{hugs}}} So, I don’t know if you follow me on Instagram, but I put up in my stories some things about Big Astro lately. It’s for real.
I mentioned during last month’s Zoom how I’m enrolled in a few new courses… one of them met yesterday, specifically about Mars in retrograde in Aries. It’s… turbulent. It’s mean. It’s relentless. It’s causing accidents and burns and… well… you can see the environmental and social and political impact as well.
Mars in Aries (even without the retrograde) is impulsive, egocentric, unapologetic, and immature.
Take a look at your natal chart for where Mars is. What sign? What house? Both of those things make a difference, so that could be a part of what made today so rough for you.
Today was a 9 energy, so that’s closing things off, deaths, clearing out the clutter, pruning.
Hope you’re giving yourself some deep breaths, hugging yourself, and trusting tomorrow will bring a new start. Sending you love!
IT IS FOR REAL. My mood these last few days… oh boy, emotional rollercoaster to say the least. I signed up for the Soulshine Astro emails too and am now reading her free e-book: Jesus. Mars coupled with this upcoming new moon as me all sorts of weird. Adding to that being an 8 in a 2 year and coming into 2020 with some heavy personal shit already. I feel the swings are even more dramatic. Knowing why helps *immensely* specifically in looking at this from a different perspective. The whole, “Oh, it’s not me, it’s *this*” keeps my brain from short-circuiting. And on top of all that I DID burn my thumb taking a pizza out of the oven!
So let me see if I can figure this out. I have a cuspy Mars in Aquarius (Pisces) in the 10th house. I would say I definitely am lacking in the GSD department specifically when it comes to anything career-related. Nothing feels “worth doing”. In order to feel productive I’ve had to not expect much from myself and accomplish smaller, less substantial tasks that have been on the back burner for a while. Even then my only goal is to accomplish one thing per day. And I think this note is from one of your Lives, Bonnie, but I would say I’ve gotten more “high-strung if you donβt regularly unplug and recharge.” Not being able to get outside for a few hours most days has… had an impact. This is going to be a fun couple months.
So, just finished week 2 of my advanced transits class and OMG. The instructor put my chart up on the screen for everyone and I watched jaws of more-advanced students DROP. I said, “Oh good. So it’s not my imagination.”
Similar to you, Sarah, I take some comfort in the “it’s *this*” of it all, but whoa was I not happy to learn that I’m not yet halfway through a full two years of some massive upheaval. When I looked up my Transiting Mars Square Natal Mars (happening RIGHT NOW) and read the details — down to the exact days it is at its peak — I could tell you exactly which dramatic things happened in my life on those days… and the next one is coming up at the end of this month.
Remind me to tell y’all the beautifully gruesome metaphor I learned for retrogrades and transits when we meet next week. It’s perfect and so very dark. Ha ha!
Hang in there everyone! I’m also taking a class in Remediative Astrology, which is where you learn the deficits in your natal chart and perform tasks and rituals today in ways that balance out or heal those issues. I! Am! Loving! All that I’m learning! π
Oops it didnβt post my emojis. Iβm not angry, just laughing at my pain. Lol π
