There’s a lot going on and coming up in big astro. Remember: Astrology never brings us a transit without also bringing us the resources for navigating it.
It’s time to tackle the October calendar so here we go!
PLANNING NOTE: Our Zoom at 11:30am PDT on October 21st will be about November’s magic. Until then, it’s all about October.
As always, we’ll cover what the numerology of the days mean, what the moon’s move through the signs tell us, and of course how all this plays out in your favor in the most intriguing and powerful ways!
During the Zoom, I’ll take questions about how all of this relates to trends you’re tracking in your OWN chart — be sure to bring your chart (render it at a site like Astro.com) — and we’ll talk about how the woo of the month aligns with YOU!

Not sure where to start or exactly what my question is. Maybe Iâll figure it out as I go.
I feel like my money houses are âswappedâ. I have my 2nd house in Cancer. Water, intuition, trust. My 8th House in Capricorn. Earth, hard work, roll up the sleeves.
So, the 2nd house is more consistent, exchanging work for money – that would obviously be my day job. But that seems to be where Iâm putting in the hard workâŚ.well, sometimes. The 8th house is other peopleâs money and less consistent – that would be money I sometimes get from family – understand that, but that seems to rely more on trust. I suppose I can look at it that Iâm continually putting in the hard work and dedication to my craft, etc in order to obtain my âgrantsâ and âfellowshipsâ (as I see it) from family.
And I believe you also said 8th house is (non-series regular) acting money at this point (that makes sense). So then, should I also be including money from my writing, photography and puzzles as 8th house, too? I put in the hard work now (with Saturn structure), to get money to start flowing in and thenâŚ. when it becomes more regular (ideally) then it moves to second house where I rely more on trust and intuition?
Am I over complicating and/or conflating things? Am I missing something?
And with Venus – I UNDERSTAND telling Saturn to chill the F out so I can focus more on having (structured) fun and being seen and doing that in my weirdo Aquarius way. So then, leaning into that more willâŚ.. make earning money happen easier/effortlessly?! Is that what youâre guaranteeing me?!
Okay, on the house thing, here’s the simplest way to sum it up:
2nd house = I work for someone else. I put in my hours and I receive a consistent check.
8th house = I’m freelance. I don’t know when/how the next buck is coming in. I run my own business.
How’s that? Better?
As for some sort of Venus guarantee, remember, she doesn’t care whether you earn money. She wants you to be magnetic. To have everyone come to YOU with whatever you need. Just like everything from the months we did manifestation as a focus in Expansive Capacity a couple o’ years ago, it’s about the vibe. Feelings first! Venus isn’t ever worried about what’s in your bank account. She just wants you beautiful and sensually pleased.

I guess my follow up would be, how the “trust” of the 2/6/10 water houses relate to the “do the work” of the earthy 8th house. I mean, I *like* to do the work, so I’m obviously gonna want to lean into that instead of trusting and backing off.
Are the 6 & 10 houses purely supporting the earned income of the 2nd house? And the 8th house is completely “separate”? So treat them and approach them as such?
And thanks for the Venus/Manifestation reminder. I should probably just make my life easier (and more fun!) and just focus on that then getting too bogged down in the “rules” of the money houses.
Yeah… you’ve got too much Saturn in your chart to make life without rules easy. You can do it… it’s just going to require you to make a RULE that you relax more, have more fun, play more, and lean into ease. đ Fun trick, huh?
So, we’ll get into this in our October meeting, when we do the final components of YOUR MONEY STORY and tie it all together, but essentially, the 2/6/10 element is what is always working for you in the background to bring money into your life… if you’re not doing things that fight that element. So, that’s following your passion if you’ve got Fire there, putting in the work if you’ve got Earth there, promoting yourself if you’ve got Air there, and trusting the money will come if you’ve got Water there.
The 2H/8H relationship is about how much of your revenue is coming in predictably, from a job you can “count on” (as much as anyone can count on anything these days) vs. how much is showing up more surprisingly, or all at once but unpredictably and not necessarily due to work you put in specifically TO bring in money.
And of course we have Venus and one more planet to talk about, plus the 2 signs whose placements in your chart have something to do with YOUR MONEY STORY too. THEN we’ll blend it all together!
