It’s time to tackle the October calendar so here we go!

As always, we’ll cover what the numerology of the days mean, what the moon’s move through the signs tell us, and of course how all this plays out in your favor in the most intriguing and powerful ways!

Started looking into the Decan rulers for my natal chart, and of course my Sun is in a Mercury Decan rule. And as if I needed more Saturn in my life. Pretty evenly spread, but no Mars or Sun (which seems fitting for my Leo NN struggle) but then, of course my Leo NN is Decan ruler is Jupiter.
Sun – 2nd Decan Aquarius – Mercury
Moon – 3rd Decan Aquarius – Moon
Mercury – 1st Decan Pisces – Saturn
Venus – 1st Decan Aquarius – Venus
Mars – 3rd Decan Aquarisu – Moon
Jupiter – 2nd Decan Libra – Saturn
Uranus – 3rd Decan Scorpio – Venus
Neptune – 3rd Decan Sagittarius – Saturn
Pluto – 3rd Decan Libra – Jupiter
North Node – 2nd Decan Leo – Jupiter
South Node – 2nd Decan Aquarius – Mercury
Chiron – 2nd Decan Taurus – Moon
Finally got a chance to catch up and I have questions! lol
So, if we’re considering anything within 10 degrees of our South Node to be conjunct, then my Midheaven is conjunct my South Node in Capricorn (though not in the same Decan). Does that mean my ambition and soul’s purpose is drained by my South Node? Or is it only drained when I fall back to my comfort zone / South Node tendencies (hard work, ambition, practicality)?
Also, some Cancer elements are creativity, strength and protectiveness, which I feel come easy to me, can I lean in on those or should it not be that easy? Should I work more toward the elements that don’t come so easy like tapping into my true emotions and letting myself be sensitive/vulnerable?
Saturn squares my Nodes (and Venus, Pluto and Mars are within 10 degrees of a square as well if that counts) but my South Node is in Capricorn which is ruled by Saturn. Does that just mean extra Saturn remediation?
Also, in prepping for next month I found that I am a 1st Decan Gemini (ruled by Mercury) in my Sun and Moon which has a secondary ruler of Jupiter so I communicate, learn and travel through expansion, blessings and faith? Also, my Rising is 1st Decan Taurus (ruled by Venus) which has a secondary ruler of Mercury (there’s Mercury again!) so my love and money comes through communication, learning and travel? In which case, if I keep the faith and speak my blessings out loud, than love and money will flow my way? Or am I just shoe-horning in a favorable scenario here? lol

All the decans stuff, we’ll save for this month’s Zoom, so be sure to remind me of these questions then! 🙂 In general, I think it’s awesome to practice whatever interpretation works for us!! That gets us building a muscle for layering and all the nuance involved with this stuff. 🙂
Okay, so on the MC/SN loose conjunction: It means your ambition may not be as HOT as it could be. Like you’re not necessarily as DRIVEN by your ambition *and* when you do try to fire up your ambition, it can drain you. On top of that, yes, when you rely on your South Node, you drain your life’s ambition!
As for North Node qualities feeling as though they come easily to you, GOOD. Lean into those for sure!! Again if we go with the non-dominant hand usage, for some folks, using that non-dominant hand is actually pretty easy. Yay! 🙂 Don’t feel like your North Node should be HARD; it’s just not what’s as habituated and practiced and a part of our momentum before we even really know ourselves in this lifetime, like the South Node stuff is.
Certainly, allowing for vulnerability is a lovely bit of Cancer North Node homework, but remember *I* am a Cancer (Cancer stellium, in fact — Sun, MC, Mercury, Mars) and nurturing and vulnerability and mothering can take the shape of some serious strength, in a protective vibe for all her babies. 😉 Cancer is a Cardinal sign. That’s leadership all day.
On the Saturn square for the Nodes, yeah, you have unfinished business with the planet of structure and rules and minimalism and what your soul came in to do. Someone who does past-life readings would likely say there’s some cord-cutting to do or healing to undertake in this lifetime for this karmic contract you came in with. For me, I’d definitely do some peace-keeping with Saturn as well as some EFT/tapping to RELEASE contracts Saturn may think are still valid in this lifetime.
A little outside my area of expertise, but that’s where I’d start in on things. Letting Saturn know there’s no unfinished business; just the business of this lifetime and that you’re on it, doing the work, and thank you for the structure in how to do it.
