It’s time to tackle the May calendar so here we go!

As always, we’ll cover what the numerology of the days mean, what the moon’s move through the signs tell us, and of course how all this plays out in your favor in the most intriguing and powerful ways!

Just started the replay to get my May calendar going and had to stop right away.
I took a road trip to MI this past weekend for a family birthday and on the way out when asked what I wanted to listen to by my partner I said, “ya know, I’ve been thinking about Train a lot the past couple of days” and he put the Drops of Jupiter album on!
Synchronicity indeed….

Some interesting things I discovered:
-I was born the day after a New Moon, but still in the same sign.
-For the most part, as of this year, for the rest of my life my Mars will be under the Aries moon influence.
-Starting next year my Mercury will be in Pisces moon influence for 2 decades, which comes pretty close to coinciding with when I decided to really focus on writing as a career (Mercury being in my 10th house and all) and maybe why it’s taken me almost 2 years to finally get to writing my children’s book.
-Currently finishing up 3 years of Leo moon influence, which has been maybe the best years career-wise for me. (and also throwing in the numerology for those years, why there was lot of push and pull happening).
-Which means the 2 years prior, under Cancer moon, was when I was back home dealing with my dad getting sick and dying.
-My age 28 epiphany was under Aquarius moon and when I moved to LA (also the end of 9/beginning of 1 year in numerology).
-Curious about the Sun with secondary progressions since mine would be Aquarius as a kid, Pisces as an adult, and Aries “of a certain age”. That doesn’t seem weird to me at all.
Usually the Moon is the biggest player in 2ndary progressions. I’ve taken a bunch o’ classes and whenever we (the students) try to get the instructor to go into ANYTHING BUT THE MOON shifting into different signs or stationing retrograde or direct, we’re told, “Yeah, it’s a factor… but THE MOON…” and to me that means it’s sort of like Zodiacal Releasing, and how it’s got Level 1, 2, 3, 4 (and all the way down to 8 or 9, if you use the Astro-Seek website’s latest roll-out), wherein Level 1 is the big-shift stuff we really notice. Same with Firdaria. Or with annual profections and how we can do monthly profections and even profect from the sect light in addition to the main way: from the Ascendant… ASC will always have dominance. The others are considerations, but not the main ways the tool is used.
From what I understand, it’s as though all other planets by progression ONLY affect that same area of our lives in the here and now (so, Sun = ego, body, vitality; Mercury = communication, how we think/believe, etc.), but the Moon colors our whole lives for those ~2.5 years it’s in each sign (and those patterns are way noticeable, because of how many laps we get of them).
We’ll dig in on the phases of the 2ndary progressed Moon in our Zoom this month. 🙂 Another layer of complexity and fun!

I have so missed my aligned advantage notes for this month – and am diving in to the the first part of the zoom now.
So Venus finally moved out of my 7th house – and I DID not elope and get married – but a crazy with a capital K whirlwhind romance – a guy i havent seen/heard of since my senior prom in 1992 – did sweep me off my feet for the last 10 weeks or so…
from my hometown, he came to visit me in Burbank, and then again when I was in Nashville, and again when I was at Coachella….
(sounds crazy just typing it) … only to crash and burn in a big pile of …. DYSFUNCTION! (surprise!) two days before last week’s eclipse.
HEY LEAH LOOK AT ALL THOSE LESSONS YOU JUST GOT TO BE REMINDED OF!

It was touch and go for a minute… but I made it out…. and got to practice/experience what a romantic relationship as an adult looks like..
I got to practice softening my heart more, practice being vulnerable with someone in an intimate setting.
I got to practice what trusting/depending/relying on another human being feels like – I’ve been solo for a long time.

I am not really looking forward to the shenanigans of Venus/Jupiter in Aries – my 8th house where Chiron resides…but I am obviously in a window of great potential for healing some pretty big stuff….

As for the Aries tour we’re in now, what sort of things in the 8th house could benefit from Mars energy? (Since Mars rules Aries.) What sort of things that may be a little sleepy in the 8th house for you could get turned UP thanks to all of that puppy-level enthusiasm and passionate curiosity?

The high-school/hometown guy…. he’s stubbornly (also a taurus) not letting this end.
And I… with all my Venus energy… went back for another round of puppy-level enthusiasm and passionate curiosity, this week, … good ole Mercury Retrograde…. and am now trying to extricate myself from a situation that feels like ….. a final exam in Leah’s romantic relationship journey….. so many aha moments, so many sweet moments, AND too many volatile moments… dude definitely needs some chart harmony with Mars and likely Saturn as well.

Before I left for Coachella beginning of April – I *did* in fact meet up with my bio Aunt and cousin – that I never knew existed.
It went well. Now that I’m back east, I know they are hoping for more in person time, and they want to introduce me to my half-sister. (apparently no one speaks to my “dad” – he’s retired to florida)…. and I’m kind of okay, with meeting the other family members first. lol
I feel like that is definitely related to Jupiter in my 8th house Aries w/Chiron, yeah?
I mean biggest wound and all…. and for the first time, I’m willing to be curious around these other humans that I have never known.
spending today catching up on these secondary progressions I missed out on last month – and looking forward to tomorrow.

So grateful for you, Bonnie! Love being in an Aquarius phase for the next 2.5 years! Interestingly, my Sun for this day is in the same degree as my rising sign in my sidereal chart. The correlations between my Sidereal and Western charts are always fascinating. Will be catching up on the Chart Harmony Challenge tomorrow – I keep telling my inbox to put your emails in my primary account, and Mercury Retrograde buried them so missed the beginning. Also, I want to find a Zero Balance practitioner out here in Santa Monica. A friend mentioned that practice to me and I’ve done some Googling. Seems like Saturn would LOVE for me to do some of that bone work!
What I’m loving the most about Astrology is that feels like learning to read music sheet from my own cosmic symphony, the music I’m dancing in this lifetime, to see the arrangement of all this energy, and now I have more tools to design a choreography when I need to perform, or loose myself to dance with no fear of the unknown. Weeeeeee!!! \o/
So… About secondary progressions, the moon was Waxing Gibbous in Sagittarius in the 11th house on July 1st, 1974, meaning my 48th day. Question: Should I consider the house to read this enegy?

For Secondary Progressions with the Moon, specifically, we use the SIGN the progressed Moon is in to help us understand the flavor of the 2.5 years (approximately) we’ll be in that sign’s energy. The PHASE the progressed Moon is in tells us the energy. And the phase can often last longer than the sign.
The HOUSES things are happening in when you’re looking at progressed charts, solar return charts, etc., absolutely can be considered, but I wouldn’t focus too much on that, since EVERYTHING shifts in progressions (including your Rising sign, therefore, what is CURRENTLY your 2nd House won’t necessarily be your 2nd House in a progressed chart). Hope this makes sense. Lemmeknow if it needs clarifying.
