Hello you beautiful people and welcome to Aligned Advantage for May!

I’m so excited to go on this deep dive of each month’s calendar together using the power of the woo-woo tools my momma taught me. 😉
Hooray!
It’s time to tackle the May calendar so here we go!
NOTE: Our Zoom on May 21st will be about June’s magic. Scroll down to get registered to be a part of that *next* session! ’til then, it’s all about May.
As always, we’ll cover what the numerology of the days mean, what the moon’s move through the signs tell us, and of course how all this plays out in your favor in the most intriguing and powerful ways! During the Zoom, I’ll take questions about how all of this relates to trends you’re tracking in your OWN chart — be sure to bring your chart (render it at a site like Astro.com) — and we’ll talk about how the woo of the month aligns with YOU!
Please feel free to ask questions in the comments area below and while some will be best-suited for our live Zoom, certainly I’ll do what I can to help explain some of how I make the calendar work for me in the comments before and after our Zooms.

If you need support materials for interpreting the various notations on this calendar, head back over to your Aligned Advantage Welcome page, where I have stored all sorts of goodies for you!
And now… the replay of our live Zoom session about the May calendar and all its juicy goodness! Enjoy!
Keeping handy your cheatsheets for all the things (my What Your Birthday Says About You workbook) and your chart rulership guide. Also, here are my posts on planetary remediation, planetary days, and planetary hours. 🙂
Remember, just leaning into the PACE of your chart ruler, you’ll start feeling more ease around *everything* you do in life. Ahh… right on time, right? 😉
If you are hankerin’ for a “You in the Stars” report or if you’d like to book a one-on-one with me for more woo, all the info on these offerings is here. Woo HOO!
BONUS VID! Here’s the replay of the webinar Marie and I conducted re: Mercury retrograde and money magic. Woo HOO!
Here’s the workbook we used too. 🙂 Yay!
Questions? Keep ’em comin’! I love these discussions SO MUCH and really enjoy sharing all this learning with you.
Y’all, thank you for joining me in this exciting woo-woo venture! Truly, this meeting was VERY special. I treasure you. I’m so proud to be the astrologer’s daughter and I know Charlsie is so happy to see this happening right now. 🙂
All my love,
Wanna join us for our next monthly LIVE interactive Aligned Advantage meeting? Register here ASAP! Our next meeting will take place via Zoom on Friday, May 21st, at 12pm PDT. Translate that to your time zone here.

And of course, any questions for me, pop ’em in below! Woo HOO!
** TMI** So, my chart ruler is Mercury, and guess what? My menstrual cycle is 24-26 days. I never make it to 28 days. My body literally recycles every 3.5 weeks. It would be interesting to see if women with a Moon chart ruler get their periods on the new Moon or the full Moon. There is some research that suggests that that’s how it used to be, but we have way too much artificial light in our lives by now and our monthly cycle is not aligned with the Moon anymore. Although, I still think that it would only be true for women with a Moon chart ruler. Who knows?
That is AH-may-zing, Ivett! Wow, what a pattern!!!!
I know there’s a LOT that we do, environmentally and otherwise, that monkey with our natural cycles, but I’d bet that data on moon chart rulership and cycle lengths could be really interesting!
ooooh.. interesting…
My chart ruler is Jupiter.. so I can’t really say there’s a correlation between Jupiter and my menstrual cycle ^^ Althoug I’ve been tracking it for a while now and I am really curious about the patterns that will show up when I do a review in a couple of months.
Has it already been explained how, yesterday (April 30) was a 3 numerologically but today (May 1) is a 2?
LOL Did that break your brain a little bit?
Numerology adds down the month, day of the month, and year into a single digit.
So, April 30th was 4 + 3 + 0 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 1 = 12, and we then add the 1 + 2 to get that 3.
And of course, May 1st is 5 + 1 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 1 = 11, and we then add the 1 + 1 to get that 2.
The only way to live a life of sequential numbers as we switch months would be if there’s only ONE number for the whole month of the year, which isn’t possible. The months each have their own numbers and we moved from a 4 month to a 5 month. 🙂
Same as when we moved from 2020 to 2021. The change of the YEAR created a different numerology; so does the change of a MONTH.
Another way to put it is that you expected the numbers to keep growing along the pattern you saw all month long… and May 1st is not the same as April 31st, which would of course create the 4 day that you were expecting today, after yesterday’s 3.
Does that help?
ohhhh, ok! I get it! Thanks!
You may now register for our woo webinar on May 11th: https://bonniegillespie.com/webinar — workbook coming soon! Wooooooooo HOO!
There will be a replay of this, yes?
WOOOO guess what? The last new moon in Pisces when we were supposed to dream about the next step in our lives, I submitted a “way too early for a 2nd year Ph.D. student” application to teach a summer course. So far, I have only ever been a teaching assistant. So, this was a bit too ambitious. Definitely more like a dream than a possibility. But today, I got an official offer from the university to teach Health Psychology. I’m so happy. This Pisces Moon dreaming thing really worked.
YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! OMG this is so delicious and aligned! Congratulations, Ivett!! Keep dreaming!
Yay! Love it! Congratulations!
This is so cool: Pluto and 0° ♒️ Aquarius 2023-2025 timelapse ingresses
I’m very excited about “the big move” into Aquarius Pluto will be making in a few years. There’s even a webinar coming up this weekend about it. I’m going to be there and as always I’m happy to share what I learn. If you’d like to buy a ticket for yourself, of course, here’s the info (being on the Fresh Voices email list is a must, IMO).
Oooh interesting! I’d love to hear what you learned in the webinar. 🙂
There will be a point in 2024 when Pluto is at the exact degree where the ‘True Node’ is on my birth chart.. wonder what that means.. I still have 3 years to find out haha. 😀
I’m learning about the nodes and it’s DEEP stuff. The north node (or true node) is where we’re headed in this life; south node is where we came from, how we entered this life. Pluto, of course, is that transformation planet so no question a conjunction will be a big deal.
I’ll be sure to share what this webinar teaches me. You know I love geeking out on all of this!!
Alrighty, I caught up with the May zoom and am now working through all of it. 🙂
My Ascendant is Saggitarius –> chart ruler = Jupiter
Chart Ruler Jupiter means:
Intuitive, bringing magic to everything. Spends 1 year in each sign. 12 year cycles or once a year things change.
Not in a hurry, I’ll wait for it to come to me. (This one makes so much sense!)
I now also understand a little better how my partner rolls. I always thought it is just his Aries sun but his Cancer ascendant also means that his chart is ruled by the Moon, which explains a lot. ^^
Jupiter in my chart is squaring Venus. (And Mercury. And Sun. And Pluto.) And forms a sextile with Mars.
Jupiter is in my 8th house in Cancer(Placidus). Which means it cannot see my first house (Saggitarius).
But also Jupiter trines my Ascendant which is a good thing, right?
In Whole Sign Jupiter is in my 9th house in Leo and when I looked at the “Jupiter in Our Charts” and read about what Jupiter means in the 8th vs. the 9th house I can relate to both to some extent but would lean more towards Jupiter in the 9th house.
I can so relate to April feeling a little bit like I am cheating here too. ^^
My question is: When I decide to look at this aspect from the Whole Sign perspective, does it make more sense to stick with it? (I ususally prefer Placidus…)
If I look at it from a Placidus point of view:
My work is to build a bridge and to bond with Jupiter more.
On Thursdays I can nurture myself being intuitive and expansive and seeing opportunities and making the best of them. One of the things I am going to do is embroider a golden Jupiter symbol on my purple T-shirt today – which is Thursday.
If I look at it from a Whole Sign point of view:
Everythings fine. (?) Jupiter can see my first house. We’re all good.
And I can still be more expansive and celebrate Thursdays- because, why not. 😉
Love this workout, Katharina, and YES the partner being Aries + having the moon as the chart ruler… that’s a LOT of fire/impulse to ACT on the changes in mood every 2.5 days!! Totally!
I like your approach of using both house systems to try this out. Do more things that build the bridge from the 8th to the 1st (that’s NEVER gonna be a bad idea, even if you don’t have your chart ruler in the 8th; because the 8th is other people’s money and why not have more of that flowing well toward your 1st?!?) and also enjoy that everything is just fine as it is (9th house version). It can be both! Of course!! 🙂 It’s just which lens you choose to use. And sometimes when things feel snaggy, you can say, “Ah, Placidus needs me to do some more Jupiter connecting,” and turn up the volume on it. Easy!
Yes, the trine is a good low of energy. Lean into that already happening! 🙂 Even just lighting a candle or using some essential oils or eating a rich meal on a Thursday… it’s all tribute when you are mindful of that being your intention.
Let us know how the gold thread works out on your purple shirt! 🙂 Tag me at Instagram if you put it there.
AND of course this month we’re going deeper on what the chart ruler’s condition is. Its ability to “see” the first house is just ONE of the things we’re looking at to determine how powerful that energy is for you.
Finally caught up on watching this….So my chart ruler is Mercury (Gemini rising) and it’s in my 8th house in Capricorn (whole sign). My profecton for the year is also 8th house and ‘m having a pretty good GSD year money wise, and yes, it’s other people’s money (fees from clients) which is allowing me to take care of some things I’ve been neglecting related to my 1st house. I’ve built an altar to Mercury and have started doing the planetary remediations just to cover all my bases. Interestingly, I’ve always felt an affinity for Mercury/Hermes in mythology and now I’m seeing all the alignments over time between career, passions (writing, reading, communication), interests, and results and it makes so much more sense.
I’m loving seeing connections and patterns in all of this! Thanks Bonnie <3
BTW – they found the truck that had been stolen with a bullet hole in the engine and they have to drug test the interior. WHAT???! As a friend said after learning it was boosted in Albuquerque…."Breaking Bad was a documentary". Still don't know if my duffle bag of Woo-related goodies was inside or not since they can't enter the interior until the drug screen results are back. UGH.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I love all the Mercury mojo you’re creating. So so so good! That’s exactly the kind of intentionality that the woo stuff can provide. Great work, Marie!
OMG the Libra in me loves this project so much. And OF COURSE I made one that shows my composite (Cancer Sun, Libra Rising, Libra Moon, Leo Venus). *swoon*
Surprise! I’ve recorded a bonus calendar MP3 for you with info about planetary days of the week and planetary hours, as you use your Aligned Hustle Calendar. Woo HOO! It is waiting for you at your Aligned Advantage welcome page. Yay!
I’ve cut myself 3 times this week. My Mars is in Leo, and he’s my chart ruler + my mean bad guy. I saw that Mars today is in Pisces. Is this why? Is s/he/they taking it out on me? D:
Here’s what I’ll ask, more than focusing on where Mars currently is (Cancer; not Pisces) and whether that’s a factor, I’d ask whether I had been doing my Mars tributes.
When Mars (also my bad-bad guy) gets up in my business a little extra, I can track that I haven’t been spending good time on Mars’ day in reverence to his power. So I take advantage of the next Mars hour and do a mini-tribute then.
ALSO when I cut myself, I’ll slow down and say, “Okay Mars. I see you. What do I need to know that I’m not paying attention to? You got my attention. What are you communicating to me?”
Those are things that help me.
Thank you for this reframe! Will do my mini tribute later today for Mars (:
Yay! Let me know how it goes!! 🙂 Anything Mars-like (lighting a candle, burning incense, cutting something, getting a tattoo or a piercing) works. And we don’t have to spend much time on it for it to start making a difference. 🙂
I know we haven’t officially talked about Chiron much (and I am very much looking forward to that lesson when it’s time), but with the Taurus New Moon we just had on May 11th kicking off the eclipse cycle, that new Taurus Moon was exact on my natal Chiron placement, so it is very active and all those things I’ve been working on healing for years are coming up for yet another round of healing. The hard thing about my natal Chiron, for me, with it being the asteroid that shows us where our deepest wounds and worst fears are, is that it’s in my 10th House, hanging out with my natal Sun and natal Mercury in Taurus – which seems to mean that now is the time window to either decide to allow those quirky but very deep fears to stop me in my tracks or to have a (daily) good cry to release all that deep pain and then work with heart and mind working together to help me figure out how to work with Chiron, Mercury and the Sun together as a team.
When viewed objectively some of our worst fears can seem kind of odd- because they are not what one would think. My worst fears are about my ability to do my work being taken away, about projects I have poured my heart and soul into being torn apart, about my work being rejected and discarded and being forced to do something that is miserable for me as punishment for not measuring up. The worst fears come up around not being accepted, around being singled out, and around being killed because I can’t do something well enough or blend in or conform or most often because I dared to speak what I know to be truth. And around my loved ones being hurt because I spoke up. They all circle back to having what I truly desire and have worked hard for being taken away and there is nothing I can do to stop it.
Chiron fears, at least in my experience, come from a very ancient place within where those things did happen in lives long ago. Perhaps it wouldn’t be so bad if echoes of many of those worst fear situations hadn’t happened so often in my life so far, and most often when I have been actively trying to be brave, be visible and consistently show up and….not hide. When I am trying to grow and expand it’s like I become a target (thank you day chart 🙂 and those Chiron fears show up in big and small and very real and undeniable ways. I’m learning to think of it as a trial by fire – that it is all happening for me, not to me so that I can learn what I am truly made of.
I just wanted to send a giant hug out to everyone here who may be having their seemingly quirky worst fears activated and very much coming up for a good look see, understanding, and healing as the eclipses ask us all to transform and align a bit more deeply into who we are here to be. And please remember that tears are as natural as laughter, and our emotions are not weaknesses, they are strengths. People who care, feel. It’s a good thing to care.
Kristen!!! First, big hug. Second, well said! I totally understand the fear of work projects being taken away or being blocked from things you really want to do, especially when you’ve put a lot of time and energy into them.
I also need/want to learn more about Chiron ASAP. I’m in a 12th house profection in Aries (placidus) or Taurus (whole) and it’s been kicking my ASS! I had no idea I had so much crap and baggage from childhood or perhaps past lives to deal with. So of course I’m looking at things like Nodes and Chiron. In whole sign mine is in the 10th house in Pisces cuddled up with Saturn and there are days I’ve been in the WTF is happening mindset when something 12th house pops in to disturb something in the 10th. For example…I’m in the midst of a glacial divorce that was prompted by a slow erosion of a relationship due to silence and stoicism.
That makes me question how much I am willing to expose myself and my secrets to anyone which has caused me to retreat inwardly a bit from being seen as the face of my company…..at the very moment I most need to step into my power and the spotlight and be out front to create the growth phase we are at. Prior to looking at things from a Woo POV I would have been looking at process and workflow and things I could control. Now I know some of this is out of my control (Witch Wound?) and I have to just buckle up since some of it is things that may be karmic…hence my starting to look at the Nodes and Chiron. This weekend I move into a 1st house in Gemini and am already feeling some ass kicking from the upcoming retrogrades and eclipses. I was born under 4 retrogrades, including Pluto and Jupiter, so I’m hoping some of that balances the other shit that is swirling around in Gemini season.
Good luck!
For sure, “healing is my full-time job” is something I started saying in 2018 and it continues to be true. The work is worth it, though. It undoes lifetimes of trauma.
Meanwhile, Kristen, in the here and now of it all, I’ll ask you to see what you can do to turn the dial a bit on your lumping (I know you haven’t done Get in Gear for the Next Tier, but essentially this means taking two unrelated things and making them mean the same thing) so it’s not as quickly, as often, as fully your go-to.
Example, of course, yesterday’s “We need to talk about this title” convo becoming — in your mind — “Bonnie hates this title. This is doomed to fail. I’m not going to be able to sell my thing. All is lost” and all the really BIG emotion that came about over “Let’s workshop the wordiness here and see if we can get a little more focused on what to call this brilliant thing.”
When you say “Perhaps it wouldn’t be so bad if echoes of many of those worst fear situations hadn’t happened so often in my life so far” you make any past-life wound a way bigger player in the here and now than it has to be. The softening of that would be to run a highlighter over EVERY SINGLE TIME your NOT-worst-fear happens in life. Like, the 1234567890 times a day you just navigate through all sorts of experiences, big and small and everywhere in between that have absolutely zero trauma, create zero stress, and have zero attachment to an old wound.
Just THAT act of highlighting the ridiculous number of times you are NOT being retraumatized will help you begin to soften what currently feels like a stronghold an old wound has on you. It has that stronghold because you rarely run the highlighter over the times it just didn’t happen, wasn’t true, isn’t a thing. 🙂
Here’s a share from Expansive Capacity (another course I know you’re not in, so forgive where these things are out of context and not as powerful as they are for folks who are doing all the support work around these shares). I recommend you listen to this at least three times over the next three days. Do nothing else while you listen. You’ve got a clever trick-or-treater you’re dealing with. Nothing more than that.
THEN we can look at what stuff in your chart means. But for now, too much conflating and catastrophising to make the work of it straightforward to tackle. 🙂 {{{hugs}}} You’ve got this. THIS is the work, darlin’!!
