IMPORTANT: Sometimes I think it goes without saying that all astrological convos come with a content warning, and it’s important that it gets said. Astrology reveals a LOT and if the news of transits ahead ever gets you activated in ways you find disconcerting, I hope you will LOOK TO YOUR CHART for ways to get un-hooked from that unpleasant energy. It’s ALL there.
Astrology never brings us a transit without also bringing us the resources for navigating it.

It’s time to tackle the August calendar so here we go!

As always, we’ll cover what the numerology of the days mean, what the moon’s move through the signs tell us, and of course how all this plays out in your favor in the most intriguing and powerful ways!
During the Zoom, I’ll take questions about how all of this relates to trends you’re tracking in your OWN chart — be sure to bring your chart (render it at a site like Astro.com) — and we’ll talk about how the woo of the month aligns with YOU!

sorry i was unable to put myself in the hot seat with our weighted elements worksheet.
here’s my math:
fire: 8
air: 7
earth: 10
water: 2
my life car peeps are: 8 fire & 4 earth
& overall: 15 assertive & 12 receptive
Bon, we’ve already discussed my “lack of water” & i remediate through a lovely fountain (from which my kitty drinks, too), blue walls, weekly baths, & walks by the water. i think it may also be why i’ve always been drawn to the beach, not so much the mountains.
what else do you suggest i take note of with the weighted breakdown?
also, i’m a little confused about your statement on the worksheet re: the type of energy our planets bring to the party. your example, “if your Mars is in Cancer (like mine), it brings Fire to the Water party!” cancer is a water sign & it’s ruled by the moon. how does the mars & the fire come into your example? i know it’s something simple that i’m missing!

Okay, a Mars ANYWHERE is going to bring fire, because it IS the planet of fire. Neptune is the planet of water. Mercury is clearly a planet of air… and so is Uranus!
Hmm… before I go off on a bunch of planets… how do I best explain how to think of this? Let’s stick with Mars. Mars is the ruler of both Aries (a Fire sign) and Scorpio (the fieriest of the Water signs, thanks to that stinger). Both of those signs are assertive. They’re associated with the 1st and 8th houses, respectively, and those are the houses of the BODY and DEATH, when we want to look at what they have in common. Mars is the god of war, and he LOVES to cut a bitch, right? Burns and cuts and accidents are all things that Mars rules. If you have a Day chart, Mars is your bad-bad guy, and he HATES having to be up during the day. He wants to burn his fire in the night, and a Day chart wakes him up — especially if Mars is in the top half of the Day chart — so he’s gonna be really extra.
Maybe the easiest way to think of this is by looking just at the signs each planet rules.
So, if my Cancer 10H is throwing a party and it’s the Moon (Cancer’s ruler) that’s in charge of the vibe in that 10H location for this party, we have to consider that the house itself is a Capricorn house, so there’s some of its energy (Saturn) in the venue for our party. Earth and Cardinal vibes, thanks to Capricorn… all of that is IN the venue for this Moon-ruled Cancer-hosted party.
We invite Mars to the party, and Mars rules Aries and Scorpio. Both of those signs’ stuff comes with Mars to the party. So, we’ve got Cardinal Fire and Fixed Water (with a stinger) coming over. So, even before we look at the whole Day chart/Night bad guy stuff, we know we’ve got some pretty strong-willed energy coming to the party, just off those signs, right?
I’m finding myself struggling with writing this without rambling. LOL Lemmeknow if I’ve just muddied the waters or if you got an a-ha out of that. I’m tired. 😉 #NewPuppyMom 😉

first, i now understand why you stated “fire to the water party” cuz Mars is the fire. i knew it was something simple!
and to dig deeper with your explanation, i have to do some puzzle pieces of my own.
so let me see if i can emulate with your example using my charts:
day chart ruler & Mars is either in the 10th or 11th house. (i love knowing that Mars prefers activity in the night! i wonder if that’s why i’m a night owl…)
whole sign: Mars is in my 11th house & Gemini (Venus is in that house, too.)
placidus: Marc is in my 10th house & Taurus (along w/ Venus, my Sun & MC)
i followed your lead & did some internet digging (i gotta look up stuff!!).
so if my Gemini 11H is throwing a party, Mercury is in charge of the vibe. i looked it up and this house is an Aquarius Saturn (also Uranus)-ruled house seeing intellectual security. Air & Fixed vibes are there because of Aquarius. As you stated, Mars brings over the Cardinal Fire & Fixed Water (w/ a stinger). if the 11th is how i’m received by society, my friends & colleagues (is that correct?), then i’m bringing all of this to the party (+ what Venus does in there), right? it’s how i communicate with & am perceived by friends/colleagues with air, fixed, cardinal fire & fixed water stinger all at play. no mutable found here. & no earth (is that possible?). i’m not really sure what all of that means yet; i want to confirm the puzzle pieces first.
if my Taurus 10H is throwing a party, Venus is in charge of the vibe. and this is, as you stated, a Capricorn house with Saturn at the venue & Cap’s Earth & Cardinal vibes. with Mars invited & its Cardinal Fire & Fixed Water Stinger (sounds like a cocktail!), that’s what we’ve got going on in a Taurus 10-house (placidus) party. and 10th is my life’s work house & its an expression of my public persona. again, no mutable here. & no air?
if i’m putting together the puzzle pieces (yay!), what i’d love to know more about is how to think on this intel.

Yes to all of this. In the Guided Chart Harmony welcome kit/workbook, I do a person’s chart AS a color party. So you can actually see the same checkmarks I use on days of the month in the Chart Harmony Calendar, representing all the energy that’s there in a person’s natal chart. You’re pretty much doing exactly that, with this analysis. It’s great!
Oh, and if Cardinal Fire & Fixed Water Stinger doesn’t become a Constance Cooks cocktail, I’m gonna be bummed. 😉

i’ll also think about that fab stinger cocktail with some water & a dash of fire!! stingers are all about white creme de menthe — i’ll do some playing around. this will happen!! i definitely see a flamed rind on top.
lastly, my beautiful leo new moon jupiter candle (with its white petal edges in the coconut shell) is still burning!! i think maybe she’ll extinguish herself before i head to set. i’m so excited! i know she’s a good SHINE omen!
