Hello you beautiful people and welcome to Aligned Advantage for April!

I’m so excited to go on this deep dive of each month’s calendar together using the power of the woo-woo tools my momma taught me. π
Hooray!
It’s time to tackle the April calendar so here we go!
NOTE: Our Zoom on April 22nd will be about May’s magic. Scroll down to get registered to be a part of that *next* session! ’til then, it’s all about April.
As always, we’ll cover what the numerology of the days mean, what the moon phases tell us, and of course how all this plays out in your favor in the most intriguing and powerful ways! During the Zoom, you’ll get a chance to hop in the hot seat — be sure to bring your chart (render it at a site like Astro.com) so I can work my magic with you — and we’ll talk about how the woo of the month aligns with YOU!
Please feel free to ask questions in the comments area below and while some will be best-suited for our live Zoom (or even for a 1:1), certainly I’ll do what I can to help explain some of how I make the calendar work for me in the comments before and after our Zooms.

If you need support materials for interpreting the various notations on this calendar, head back over to your Aligned Advantage Welcome page, where I have stored all sorts of goodies for you!
And now… the replay of our live Zoom session about the April calendar and all its juicy goodness! Enjoy!
Here are some resources we used during this session: Planet Watcher, Traditional Rulership graphic, and of course your quick-reference guide to all the basics remains at my free astro series “What Your Birthday Says About You“.
Also, my ever-growing playlist of woo goodies is here at YouTube. Check there for the explanation of how to change your chart from Placidus to the Whole Sign house system, should you wish to know more about your chart’s sect from a more “butter knife” perspective. As we do with Self-Management for Actors stuff, we track PATTERNS. If it’s true in *both* Placidus and Whole Signs, BOOM. It’s for sure-for sure true for us. If it’s only true in one of these house systems, that just means it’s like a typing result we got for our headshots that’s LESS universal, but still sometimes the truth for us.
If you are hankerin’ for a “You in the Stars” report or if you’d like to book a one-on-one with me for more woo, all the info on these offerings is here. Woo HOO!
Questions? Keep ’em comin’! I love these discussions SO MUCH and really enjoy sharing all this learning with you.
Y’all, thank you for joining me in this exciting woo-woo venture! I’m so proud to be the astrologer’s daughter and I know Charlsie is so happy to see this happening right now. π
All my love,
Wanna join us for our next monthly LIVE interactive Aligned Advantage meeting? Register here ASAP! Our next meeting will take place via Zoom on Thursday, April 22nd, at 1pm PDT. Translate that to your time zone here.
After you register, you will receive an email with information on how to connect. You are welcome to go on camera for this Q&A session, or simply unmute yourself to participate live audio-only. Yes, we will be recording the meeting and putting its replay up (along with the next calendar) in next month’s page for you to consume. Hooray!
Before the Zoom, please post questions *here* (even though the robot email from Zoom includes an email address for questions). Thank you. π
If you’ve never Zoomed before, we recommend you get all set up *before* our meeting. Zoom is free, and there’s info on how to get going here.
And of course, any questions for me, pop ’em in below! Woo HOO!
After *quite* the Mercury square Mars in Gemini, Mars is your not-on-your-side bad guy, in the 9th/10th house, on Mars-day experience, I’m now referring to Mars as Alex Forrest (Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction) because that bitch will. not. be. ignored. Luckily, that bitch is also on my payroll because I honor her every Tuesday.
LOL I LOVE that, Sarah! That bitch is definitely on your payroll π
I’m an Aries in freaking nearly every house EXCEPT Mars and Mercury. I’m a Sag in Mars (still firey) and Taurus in Mercury. Couple that with my Aries “I want to do all the things,” it now makes sense as to why I was so freakin exhausted and torn in too many directions yesterday! Part of me wanted to let my arrows fly while the other part of me just wanted to sleep under a tree with the daisies. π
PERFECT. If that bitch will not be ignored, might as well make sure she’s well aware you respect the hell out of her ability to boil a bunny.
Of course, the best part of Mars being the NOYS bad guy is that he’s done with his shenanigans pretty quickly (although he’ll be back more frequently).
For those with Saturn as the NOYS bad guy, he’s slow, you can see him coming for a long while, but boy does he stay a while, teaching all the things.
Ah… fun stuff, yeah?
Glad you’re feeling lighter already (because I know you are… because I am… and that’s how it goes). π
I’m visualizing my Sect like this. Me as POTUS, Jupiter as my Chief of Staff, Saturn as my bodyguard, and Mars as a creep on the rope line that we need to keep an eye on.
I’m still trying to work out how the Mars in my 9th House (Aquarius) plays out but the interesting thing is my biz partner/bestie is a night chart so his Secret Service agent is Mars and my Saturn is his creep on the rope line. π I have some thinking and analyzing to do on this pairing.
Question: So, “me as POTUS” is actually SUN as POTUS? Or where do you place the sun in this analogy? π Because “me” is the whole operation, of course. π
Mars up on the top half of your chart, when it’s a day chart, is already cranky. It wants to be in the bottom half. We’ve woken it up and put it in a bright place when it’s in 9th, 10th, or 11th.
I’d also look at Mars’ impact on Venus, since you have it conjunct using a 10ΒΊ orb of influence.
For me, personally, it’s Mars transits that are a bigger issue than that natal placement. Do some tracking of the transits and see how that plays out for you, especially as Mars moves into Cancer. Right now, it’s in a fellow Air sign to your native placement. In fact, it’s about to be in the exact degree of yours… creating a trine. That’s open roads, energy flowing. I wouldn’t be surprised if you feel a WHOOSH of energy into 9th house activities.
I see myself as the Sun since I’m the center of my Universe ya know? LOL so yes, Sun = POTUS
Mars and I have been coming to terms with each other lately….we’ll never be Besties but I’m working on getting Mars to at least ignore some of what I’m doing.
Did my full moon releasing in an easy, low-pressure, imperfect way (not my norm, but it was so light and freeing to not have that pressure on me to do it βrightβ)β writing in a journal all of the relationships I chose to release. There really werenβt actual relationships with specific people that I wanted to let go of but more how I was IN RELATIONSHIP TO OR WITH those people. Thanks to Expansive Capacity it was also easy to create a list of relationships that were less concrete that I also wanted to release (eg. my emotional relationship around food) . And I felt this kind of excitement and nervousness (which was also excitement) as I wrote each item β excitement for what my life will look like and how positively different it will be as I truly release these relationships.
So so so good!
Woo Hoo!
Day chart:
Sun Aquarius, 9th House
Enhanced by Jupiter Libra, 5th House
Good bad Guy Saturn Libra, 5th House
Bad Guy Mars Aquarius 9th/10th House (Whole/Placidus)
I understand everything else but still struggle with the meaning of Jupiter and Saturn in Libra 5th House in my life in general and how they work together. And now knowing that Saturn is on my side confuses me even more. Originally, I assumed it meant that Jupiter made any Saturn issues bigger. But now knowing that Saturn isn’t my bad guy, does Jupiter highlight and double-down on Saturn making sure I’m taking time to play and be a weirdo goofball not just in private but in public and maybe enjoy the pursuit of “forward facing things” a bit more?
Saturn is always going to be a task-master. It’s still a malefic, even if it’s YOUR malefic. π But because it’s paired with not only a benefic but YOUR benefic, it’s about as good as it could get! He’s doing your bidding AND he has the power of Jupiter to bring abundance to the structure he provides.
Yes, sometimes the Jupiter could enbiggen some of Saturn’s overly-restrictive tendencies, but because this is all in the 5th house, it’s all in service of play and fun and taking the stage and children and sex and other really cool stuff. Saturn in the 5th can have a lot of rules around how it’s safe to play and frolic and all that… but, same as I advised Marie, take a look at how the transits play out over the next few months to see if that helps you understand more of the natal placement.
I would say also that your Sun trines both Jupiter and Saturn is pretty powerful. Open channels for some healthy collaboration, Air sign style.
Oh, and also note that Saturn can turn down some of Jupiter’s power for abundance… not because it’s your bad-bad guy (because it’s not, of course, day chart), so I’d imagine the more you can get these two playing nice together and respecting one another’s strengths, the smoother that whole situation will be.
Thank you. This has been helpful. And in digging a little deeper (now that I understand things more), I’ve decided to refer to Jupiter & Saturn in 5th House Libra as my “improv coalition”, making sure I always say “yes , and”, follow the fun, take risks and push myself out of my comfort zone.
PERFECT way to handle that pairing!!
Ooh, this just in… for those who want to add essential oils to their astro awareness!! (PDF)
This is AMAZING!!
Well, YAY! π
So…..I had notes for the 17th/18th to “bubble wrap”. No SHIT!!!! I should have gone deep in a cave and stayed there. 2 days of more emotional drama than I ever want capped off with my friends truck getting stolen from a parking lot at the Hilton in Albuquerque within 90 mins of us checking. Broad daylight. Busy parking lot. Poof!
So somewhere between 6:45 – 8:30pm MT the truck and by duffle bag with my Honeycomb journal, months of Bonnie’s calendar with notes, a box of crystals and oils, and the most beautiful tarot cards I’ve ever owned were beamed into the Great Beyond. Who do I blame? Mars? Pluto? Neptune? Sigh.
Oh…and I’m in either Aries 12th right now (Placidus) or Taurus 12th (Whole sign) so part of me is not at all surprised by any of this.
My takeaway….the things we are learning from Bonnie are SO FREAKING TRUE and AWESOME! I’m not even all that mad that the truck is gone because I was sort of prepared that something weird was going down this past weekend. At this point, I’m buckled up and strapped in waiting for the big end of month fun that is coming and I can’t wait to hear the Zoom this Thursday to know what to watch for.
(heads to buy more bubble wrap and whiskey)
Daaaaaaamn, girl. That’s a lot. A lot a lot. I’m sending you so much love and yes, probably a good idea to buy more bubblewrap and whiskey. Maybe fill the bubbles WITH the whisky and make a pop-and-suck game out if it all? (It’s late; I’m punchy.) Hang in there!
Sort of like an adult Capri Sun? Good idea!
Did a watch of the part I missed last month and so I’m listing my understanding of sects and chart rulers here:
I’m working with Placidus. I have a night chart (though my sun is also very close to the meridian line, like Bex–we have the same bday after all -but I was born at 7:06pm, about 20 mins before her on that day so squarely in the sun still not being set yet I think.)
So, this is my understanding from watching the Zoom:
I’m fueled/sourced by the moon, which is ruled by Venus(?) So my good guy is Venus? (From the previous Zoom, I think I assessed that my Timelord is the Sun until September, then it will move to Mercury, but from what I got from *this* discussion is that has nothing to do with sects and this Zoom correct?) This part I’m a little fuzzy on…
I’m in a 5th house profection year until Sept 17th, when I will move into a 6th house profection year.
So right now:
My “bad guy on my side” is Mars (in my 6th house, in Leo, but just barely-Leo is bisected by the line between 5th and 6th houses, so if in whole sign, Mars is in 5th house, Leo)
My “bad guy, period” is Saturn (in my 1st house, Aries, and in retrograde when I was born)
So if I understand correctly, I need to pay attention to what/where Saturn is and doing in things that the 1st house deals with, since that’s where it was in my natal?
So looking forward to tomorrow’s Zoom!
A couple o’ things (and I know we talked out the biggie in this during the Zoom): annual profections have nothing to do with sect or chart rulership. They’re just an ancient timing technique. Unrelated, yet using the same tools of course. You’ll hear people say “I’m in a X profection year and that’s my chart ruler” so they’re of course a part of one another’s worlds in that way, but they don’t influence one another, as techniques go.
I’d Google what time the sun set on your date of birth IN YOUR BIRTH LOCATION to be sure if you have a day chart or night chart. π That’s pretty close, so it matters.
The way the sect “teams” work is that you have a luminary (how you’re sourced), a good guy, a good-bad guy, and a bad-bad guy. Similar to the above, you could ALSO have one of those 4 guys be your chart ruler, but you also could have a chart ruler that’s not a factor in your sect analysis at all.
Got all that? π
I *think* I got all that. I thought I understood it and knew my sourcing and malefics and benefics but now with this info I’m confused: I googled and the sun set in my birthplace, Spokane, Washington, on Sept. 17th, 1968 at 6:57pm. So 9 minutes before I was born (at 7:06pm), I guess I was wrong about assuming it hadn’t set yet. This is all very confusing/interesting and now I’m not even sure what this precise info means. hmmm.
This is hard sometimes. lol
The time the sun set is important because having a DAY chart gives you a totally different team than having a NIGHT chart gives you. You know which planets and which luminary to keep an eye on when you know your sect.
It’s fine if you’re unsure about it, Kellye. The goal of all of this is EASE. π No need to turn it into complications. Just set Baseline Criteria of getting a nugget or two out of each month’s content, even if it’s all about the calendar and not “the big teach” of the month. It’ll start to soak in and you’ll have a day when you go, “Y’know what, X planet feels like the one I really need to keep an eye on,” because you’ve tracked patterns in your REAL LIFE that show you it’s the one that’s causing the most impact.
All of that is far more important than anything from an academic sense.
But but but…I’m a straight A stuuuuudent Bon! Must. get. good. grades. and understand alllllll the things 100% on paper. lol
Ok, gotcha, I will step away from this for a minute and let things settle, …in my body instead of my brain… for once. π
Just ask yourself how often it has benefited you to know all the things 100% on paper, getting straight A grades… I mean, like REALLY benefited you.
I’m all for keeping high standards around things that give us a payoff that’s worth it. But I suspect that softening that need to get it ALLLLLLL right all the time might actually be the biggest win you’ve ever experienced, as anything-that-could-earn-a-grade is concerned.
Hugging you!!
Such stellar advice. And question. Straight A student was absolutely for survival and treading water for getting love and acceptance. 100%. Now, I like being right of course, and that will take some time to unravel because I know coming from a beginner’s mindset opens me up to learning a hell of a lot more, because, duh, yeah, I’m not stuck in “I already know this” territory. Because maybe I don’t. And more importantly, not knowing doesn’t = death.
I think you may be so RIGHT about softening that need to be right being the biggest win I might experience. That really really hit me. Thank you, as always. <3
Of course! π {{{hugs}}}
I did an interview for the SMFA Summit the other day and started off by saying, “One of the things I love about our convos is that I always learn something. And I love knowing every time I talk to you, I’m going to be opening myself up to being a different person when we’re done.” The interviewee spent some time really highlighting that, saying it’s a REALLY great mindset to have, when showing up to any convos.
I wonder if you can give yourself some time/energy to open yourself up to “how might this encounter change me?” and letting that not feel threatening but instead exciting and filled with potential. Something to play with?
Absolutely something to play with. I’m copying and pasting your comments to my notes app so I can reread them easily and practice this. Thank you again Bon. <3
