PROFECTION question!
i’m starting us off & hope it’s okay to post on the February page.
i moved ahead to my next year.
first — this year reminder:
i’m 3rd house profection in Libra. (Libra ruled by Venus.)
my Venus is in my 11th house & in Gemini.
we discussed how the 3rd & 11th (micro & macro) are playing off of my valued (Venus).
next year:
my 4th house profection is in Scorpio. (Scorpio ruled by Mars.)
and my Mars is ALSO in my 11th house & in Gemini.
it feels like with my “medicine placement” next year is a continuation of this year…
does this mean my work & motivation in my community at large will be at war with my mom/home of origin?
am i blowing up what i began to evaluate & shift this year?
gotta fasten my seat belt?!
i’m so dang CURIOUS!
i think you were trying to point me toward this in our session, but it’s all becoming far more clear after today’s awesome session.
yay!!
so many smooches!!
Hooray! 🙂 Yes! KICK US OFF! You know I’m so charged up after our chat and I could go on FAR LONGER because it so lights me up and I love seeing y’all expand your self-awareness with these tools!!
So, starting in May, you will move into a 4th house profection year, where you have Scorpio, and you look for Mars, which you found in your 11th house/Gemini, just like your Venus for that 3rd house profection year.
YES. This means your medicine is in the same place… but in May it’ll shift from being about values and value and beauty and money into being about assertiveness and war and possibly cutting. That medicine is what heals the issues of the 4th house, which is mother and home and foundation and feeling safe.
You don’t necessarily have to blow up what started this year; it could be a form of turning that energy into a fight y’all take on TOGETHER, around your 11th house (community) focus.
We won’t know ’til then how it plays out, but you’re in the right ballpark for what sorts of “signatures” to look for! 🙂
Proud of you!
this is all so damn interesting!
thank you for the clarification. i’m pretty good at following patterns given your equation/guide, but not quite up to all of the possibility of meanings of the final pattern. YET.
i also totally get not knowing what transpires until the present—who knows how all of this will play out. but for me it’s neat to notice “wow, i’m feeling this today/digging this instinct” & then i find out it lines up with a 9 day or some such. other times, i don’t see or sense the pattern, but that’s cool, too.
moving the profection year insights along, i love what you write above to help expand my understanding of this year into next.
taking it further, i could also see the Mars assertiveness (fighting/war) of my at-large network/group/feminist community being the energy that brings together my foundation/how i see my home/how i fight for security/how i, perhaps, mother or nurture myself.
that’s not necessarily a blow-up, but more of a fight for my foundation, and perhaps how i bring those two houses together in my life.
now here’s one more interesting tidbit!
the year after that–may of 2022–i’ll enter my 5th house profection in Saggitarius.
(Sag ruled by make-bigger Jupiter!)
my Jupiter is…wait for it… in my 3rd house & in Libra.
so my profect 5-year of fun, play, stand out & express is helped along by making big communications with a return back to my smaller community, possibly siblings.
whaaatt!??!
what an interesting trajectory – !!!
do the profection patterns often work like this—overlapping houses, etc. within years of each other?
whether they do or not — wow!
my fervent prayer, of course, is that i hope i’m not circling the wagons & focused on my immediate family… i’ve surrounded myself with my chosen family for so long, i’m curious how these patterns can be read given those choices in my life.
regardless, i’m here! we’re all here!
standing here in my roots & staying curious about it all.
woohoo!!
thank you so much for sharing in & illuminating this journey!
oh, the impeachment trial is set to begin feb. 9th. i suppose we should hold onto our hats on the 10th!!
oh my!
I saw that… good luck…
Just a useful graphic to share from my travels today! It’s a color-coded calendar showcasing the progressive “strength” of 2021’s Mercury retrogrades and shadows. So, if anyone likes a visual: https://www.astrologyhoroscopereadings.com/2021-mercury-retrograde-calendar.html
Love this one. Thanks, Stephanie!
A question about profections, in a way:
I’m in a 9th house Aries profection year, therefore ruled by Mars (who also lives in my 9th house). My curiosity starts here, because my natal Mars is/was in retrograde. I know this affects transits, et cetera. Does a retrograde also affect how a profection focus and its “medicine” may express?
Using me as an example, am I more likely to experience a war-like initiation inward to get to that exploration and higher learning, or perhaps find that exploration/learning itself to be more inward? I’m a few months in and feel like this is a maybe-yes. But then again, I’m used to always having that sword turned inward (lol).
So it’s yes to all of this. Yes that Mars behaves more self-focused than at-war-with-others-focused for you AND the exploration, travel, and quest for higher learning is a more internal process for you when Mars is the “lord of the year”. The 9th house itself is not turned more inward for you in general; it’s just the Mars of it all that’s turns this focus that way while you’re in that 9th house profection year. Also, it’s not exclusively inward! Just more inward-focused than for folks whose natal Mars is NOT retrograde. 🙂
I love where you’re taking this!
Awesome! That’s where I was going with it- that Mars lording would affect the focus, not the house itself.
Tee hee, it’s fun when you start to get it! 🙂
Right?!?
Wrote down that the Mercury retrograde “don’t start anything new” doesn’t apply to me because my mercury is in the 10th house.. why?
Looking at the “who rules what” chart I realised that both my partner’s and my sun signs are ruled by Mars. And both my parents’ sun signs are ruled by Saturn.. wondering what that might mean/explain..
“If you’re in a 7th house profection, you are going to have 1-2-1 relationships issues.” – oh dear.. I am feeling it. And I feel a lot of resistance/fear towards really going deep into it..
Definitely, since my birthday, the relationship with my partner has gotten more and more focus/tension.
My 7th house is in Gemini -> ruled by Mercury -> my Mercury in wholesign is in the 12th house in Scorpio.
Looks like the medicine to our relationship issues might be for me going deep (Scorpio) on shadowwork (12th house).. Is that right?
For a while now I’ve been feeling like there are some deeper issues that I have to confront/look at, before we can solve the issues around family, children, our relationship.. I’ve been shying away from it.. or let’s say I am dipping my toe into it then going “nooooo I can’t do it.. this is too scary. I might fuck up. I might ruin the relationship / my life”.
We’ve agreed to go to couples therapy together.. That’s one step.. I will look to find a therapist for myself, too.. I don’t want to go there (12th house, shadowwork etc) all by myself.
Next month’s topic in EC is just the right thing for me I guess…as always 😉
Isn’t it wonderful how that works out? I’m very excited for next month’s EC!
I’m glad you’re starting couples counseling. Keith and I started in 2013 and we still meet to this day (as in literally, today, we met with our therapist, as we do every 2 weeks; it was weekly for the first few years). It’s relationship gym for us. We need the marriage to stay healthy.
Yes, you’ve done the work exactly right! It’s a 7th house profection since late October, as you know. Gemini = Mercury. Mercury is in your 12th house, Scorpio, and you’ve got a stellium there. LOTS of energy. Venus and Sun + Pluto, so those personal planets are all about how you define yourself and how you love and value and of course how you think and how you talk.
7th house focus = relationships, specifically 1:1; medicine in the shadows, the spiritual foundation, the karmic connection. Luckily, Scorpio LOVES to go deep and LOVES to look under all the rocks at all the squirmy, ugly worms, so it’s going to be easy to go deep with all of this. Just remember you’re doing it in service of healing the 1:1 relationships, using YOUR WORDS (Mercury)!!! Don’t clam up or go solo with this; Mercury is trying to help and that means talking it out, out, out.
Have you calculated which house your partner is in, for their annual profection?
It is! I am looking forward to it. 🙂
I’ve looked at my partner’s annual profection. He’s in a 6th house profection since April 1st 2020. (turning 30 on April 1st 2021)
His 6th house in Wholesign is in Saggitarius which is ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter in his natal chart is in his 2nd house in Leo.
I couldn’t make much sense of this relating to our situation an his last 10 months..
oh.. ligthbulb moment!
I just had a look at what the 6th house stands for again – I only remembered health. But jobby-job related things reside in this house as well. That now makes sense. TOTALLY.
since he’s going to be in a 7th house profection, like me, soonish I looked at that as well..
His 7th house is in Capricorn -> Capricorn is ruled by Saturn -> Saturn in his natal chart is in his 8th house in Aquarius.
My interpretation would be that he’s looking for stability/structure in 1:1 relationships.
And the medicine lies in:
* other people’s money (not sure about that.. but yes, a couple of days after his birthday, we’ll be moving back into our flat which is currently being renovated and the refurb is paid for with an inheritance my partner/his dad made. – that definitely provides stability.)
*shadow work and secrets (looks like he has to dig up some stuff as well)
* death (?! I hope not.)
All this with the help of Saturn (to be honest, Saturn doesn’t sound like a great helper here..)
Aquarius could bring some detachment to this… or… community? hm.. not sure how to read this..
“Don’t clam up or go solo with this.”
Thank you for the reminder. This is something I have noticed I do sometimes when there are tricky conversations ahead. It NEVER helps. never. ever.
Luckily, my partner doesn’t shy away from having the difficult conversations and reads me very well. I am making a commitment to myself to talk about things that weigh me down to others before I drown in my own mind-games. Just yesterday I found myself in a situation where I went solo on something and ended up in a very low place. Opened up to my partner and a very close friend and that changed things completely.
Thought about this again today. The friend I talked to yesterday, she recently asked me if I talked to other friends about my inner world and I said that I probably go deepest in the conversations with her.. I usually listen more to others.
I think I now know why. I am quite good at being vulnerable and open about things BUT the person I am opening up to has to be someone I absolutely trust. If I have the slightest feeling of them trying to manipulate me, I close up. I have to feel like the person I am talking to could understand me or at the very least would be able to listen without judgement. They have to be someone who shares my values, who works on themselves as much (or more) as I do. I have very high standards when it comes to people earning my trust. So far I’ve rather not talked too much about things that really bother me than opened up to someone I felt wasn’t fit for the job.
I think I can see how this relates to the amount of Scorpio in my chart…
You and Keith going to the relationship gym regularly is an inspiration. <3
For SURE the residence being paid for with inheritance money is 100% 8th house aligned! And don’t sweat the Saturn vibe; it’s great with structure, framework, order, discipline… so it has its value beyond just being such a DAD. 😉
Great work, Katharina! You’re really getting the hang of this!
Wait… His Saturn (dad planet) is in his 8th house. The money to pay for the refurb comes through his dad. That seems aligned… My partner also loves dad jokes; and he really wants to be a dad which is one of the relationship issues that we’re working on. Ok, I might just be looking for things to make sense now and reaching a little too far. 😉
I love this work. Lot’s of riddles to solve. The girl scout in me loves to play detective and follow traces. 😀
Decided to start back-up my cell & laptop and start organizing my digital files BEFORE mercury retrograde. Feeling really smart right now because of that. Hee hee!
I was so blown away by the whole profection discussion — I was mis-interpreting last year until Bonnie clarified it for me and then I was like OMG THAT WAS MY YEAR! I can see how important it is to not only be able to figure out signs, planets, houses, etc but to be able to interpret it with some sense of accuracy. I read all the comments above and I am going to attempt to do that now…
Starting January 30, 2021, I will have the following influences in my life:
3rd house (social group, friends, siblings, networking, short-term travel, communication) — Virgo (healing, detail-oriented, puts in the work)
Virgo is ruled by Mercury (communication)
My Mercury is in Capricorn (puts in the work, pragmatic) in the 7th house (partnerships)
My interpretation: Healing my relationship with my sister will require me to keep working on it — staying in communication with her will be key. That could also be said of healing any issues in my marriage. As I heal myself, I will feel inspired to re-connect with old friends and continue relationship-building/networking and be supported in my endeavor to heal my relationships with my sister and my husband. And if I put in the work on my marriage, my husband will become more supportive of my career. Was that last thing a total reach? Or wishful thinking?
I’m days away from my birthday and I’m already feeling drawn to come out of my shell (Cancer AC) and connect with people again (I can feel that Leo moon). I’m feeling my inner light getting brighter — it felt pretty damn dull most of 2020.
By the way, the night of our Zoom, I told my husband that I could predict what 2021 was going to be about for him and the kids. I figured out all of the houses, planets, and signs and then totally improvised what I thought it could mean — I tried really hard to look like I knew what I was talking about, but after a while I was just making things up. Hahaha! Reading the comments above has helped cement what I learned from the Zoom call.
Until the end of June he’s in his 12th house which is Virgo
Virgo is ruled by Mercury and is in his 10th house which is Cancer
I asked him if he’d started thinking about his career/getting a new job over the summer and he said yes and I started feeling like a frickin’ psychic. 🙂 And then I got lost in trying to figure out what the rest of it meant. As I look at it now, I would say that if he allows himself to feel all the feelings and nurtures that part of him in some way through communication (writing maybe), he will uncover his true calling/the career that will nurture his soul.
He tried starting a business a bunch of years ago where he writes people’s life stories into a novel-like format (he has a background in screenwriting). He struggled to keep up a financially lucrative pace, he hired writers who also didn’t complete the work on time (or some times at all) and in the style he wanted to convey, and how to create a steady in-flow of clients kept eluding him. That business incorporates communication, feeding his soul, and what he feels is his higher calling. At least once a week he mentions that he wished he could have created a successful business out of it. He just couldn’t figure out a way to make it profitable. Maybe this year he’ll find a way.
Rabbit hole, here I come!!!!! Wheeeee!!!!!
Yay for rabbit-holing! 🙂
Instead of “just making stuff up” when you hit those points at which you’re not sure what the various elements, modalities, planets/placements, signs mean (we ALL hit those points), make it feel safe to say, “And… that’s all I’ve got right now. I know there’s more, but we’re tapped out on my knowledge for the moment. We’ll come back to this.” 😉 Of course, you can also be led by intuition to share more, but be clear (and responsible) as a reader of other people’s charts when you’ve reached your limits, okay?
As for the “wishful thinking” question, I’ll ask you how you made the leap to the hubs being supportive of your career specifically. Show your work (like, tell me which relationship between the things is leading you to this conclusion) and I’ll be able to tell you if that’s wishful thinking or not. And, again, if you’re being intuitively led, that’s fair game too!! 🙂 Just important to label that when it happens. 🙂
I’m excited for your birthday coming up and the year ahead!
I really heard you and totally appreciate what you said about only sharing what you truly know. I don’t think I was totally making stuff up because I was honestly trying to figure it out and when I could tell I was really reaching I told him and we both laughed about it. I reread what I wrote above about making stuff up and I think it sounded more insensitive than I think the reality was. Even so, I’m glad you said that because it is true about having a responsibility.
I am intuitive and have had my share of moments when I see and hear something I feel compelled to share with a particular person. I sometimes leave the conversation “hoping” I said the right thing even though it didn’t feel like the words actually came from me.
In regards to my husband and him supporting my career. I think he feels kind of “neglected” by me and, as a result, what could be encouragement and support becomes tinges of jealousy and resentment. So, by doing some deeper work on myself and with our relationship and making sure he feels seen and cared for I may find him in my corner more. That’s how I made that jump in thinking.
Yeah, I’m still not seeing what jump you’re making astrologically to get to the supportive-of-your-career part of things. I was looking for what houses, planets, signs, etc. were leading you to finding that connection. 🙂
Thank you for confirming that you understand the level of responsibility we have with learning these things. 🙂 That reassurance is helpful.
Oh, I see in my chart the networking piece from the 3rd house and I’m connecting that to my career as that’s a focus for me right now. And then I saw at my relationships with partnerships (7th house) as the medicine so I interpreted that as healing (Virgo) my love partnership (7th house) will support my networking for business (3rd house). I then looked at his chart and as he connects to his feelings (Cancer) with his 10th house higher calling, he will be able to heal (Virgo) his shadow side (12th house) and as we are a couple and there are things I already know about our relationship I was making meaning out of it from what I already know about us. Is this me trying to find more certainty than truly exists in this information?
I don’t know if anyone else here is as much a news junkies as I am but a revelation just happened for me that shows I’m starting to connect what we’re all learning here. Have y’all heard about the big squeeze out on giant hedge funds by the crowd sourced information of the so called “little people” on Reddit? Basically they decided to fuck with the rich by buying up a couple stocks that the big hedge funds “short sold/betted against” and now the stock is worth WAY more than the hedge funds said it ever would be so now they gotta call in the margins and cover the cost of the stocks at their current price, making them lose MILLIONS of dollars (at least on paper right now). Go David! Boo Goliath!
The thing that occurred to me is how much this is really shaking the Wall Street folks to the absolute core and every expert on the market I’ve seen comment about it says they’ve never seen anything like it, EVER. And a little light went *ding* in my little soul because this is about the best and first real, big example of the Aquarius transit we recently moved into in its utter concern about the collective beauty and what can be accomplished when we think about the many over the few. What is possible when groups use their power, however small, to effect change on a massive and unprecedented scale. The collective SPEAKS and I am here for it.
Anyway I just had that epiphany and thought I’d share with the fine folks here. ❤️
That is VERY interesting insight, Kellye! Yeah, Aquarius coming in hot in 2021.
wow.. also, Uranus in Taurus…
Yes!! This is total Mars in Taurus (war energy around money and systems and value(s) and how we feel safe) + all the Uranus (revolt) transits and absolutely all the Aquarius is innovation, collective is served, idealistic/utopian equality and distribution of all sorts of assets in a freakin’ 5 year!!! ABSOLUTELY!! 🙂 Well spotted!!
General Question: I am wondering which planet I would be ruled by? Most sources are contrary to each other. Hoping someone can advise.
Signs are Virgo sun, Taurus moon, Aries rising 🙂
Hmmm well I’m a Virgo too and Virgo is ruled my Mercury as far as I know. I don’t know what other planet it’s ruled by if any, but now I want to look it up again… haha
Your rising sign is what dictates your chart ruler, so that would be Mars for you. 🙂
Ooohhh damn. But helpful because I also am Aries rising so now I know my chart ruler too, thanks! haha. So then is Mercury as the sign Virgo’s “planet ruler” just add in like another layer of influence to the overall chart ruling planet (Mars in our case)? Just wanting to make sure I understand the depth of these things, as I’ve always kind of identified hard with the “Mercurial Girl” aspect of being a Virgo. 🙂
So, chart rulership was one of the things y’all voted on at the Airtable survey earlier this month, so we will be doing a deep dive on this coming soon.
Basically, the chart ruler is whatever planet rules your rising.
Secondarily, you may want to look at the ruling planet for your sun sign and your moon, but those two are just passengers in a car that is being driven by your ruling planet. They can suggest ways, routes, navigation tips, playlists for the radio, etc., but ultimately the work of driving the chart belongs to the chart ruler.
So, for you, yes, Aries. 🙂
In our deep dive for this, we’ll also discuss what to do with placements IN that house where the chart ruler lives! There’s a very cool technique I just learned Thursday night in one of my astro meetup groups that allows you to see which planets set the tone for pretty much everything you do, kicking off from the chart ruler and then sort of doing a 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon game with placements and rulership. I freakin’ love this stuff!
For what it’s worth, IT’S FUNNY HOW THIS SHIT JUST WORKS OUT despite yourself getting in the way of things. (And here is where I double back in writing this to say, “You crazy bitch, Universe!)
Here are my facts.
-I’m in a 3 year (creativity, manifestation).
-February is a 7 month (introspective, cocooning).
-I recently had my first (of 3) Pluto square Natal Pluto of the year (the start of my astro midlife crisis – I turn 40 next week).
-I’ll hit my 5th House profection (play, expansion, being seen, fun, creativity, rebellion)
-My 5th House is Libra (Ruled by Venus)
-My Venus is in 9th House, Aquarius
So, towards the end of last year (that coincided with our September? Zoom where we talked about the transiting Sun aspecting our natal charts) I started questioning things, my life, what the fuck am I doing?! Am I doing what I want to be doing?! All that great stuff. At this time the Sun just so happened to conjunct my natal Pluto (shining a light on transformation).
Then, shortly after the new year, I learned I was about to hit my Pluto square natal Pluto which would start a big shift in my life and focus, especially when it comes to art, beauty and creativity.
Shortly before this month’s Zoom last week I decided that for my birthday, since I had the day off from work, I was going to do whatever the fuck I wanted, probably resulting in getting in my car, going somewhere far away and probably taking lots of photos. Being off the grid.
All day yesterday I felt weird and had a lot of those “What am I doing?” moments. It seemed to come out of nowhere but then I thought, “We’re in a Cancer moon!” Then thought, “No, no. It’s too late in the Cancer moon for this much emotion from me personally.” That night I had a little break down and said, “Fuck it. From now until March I’m doing whatever the fuck I want regardless of what astro (or my ego) is telling me I *should* do. Yes, I’ll still get things done off my check list, but I don’t care when and how it gets done. If at all.” And then I immediately thought, “Oh, ha! We’re just about approaching the Leo full moon.” 12 hours in fact. And what was I doing? Letting go of all my shit about career, social media, “being seen.” blah blah blah. Then I laughed. And said, “Yeah, this all makes sense. Go with your gut and intuition.”
To summarize, during a Leo moon I instinctively (and subconsciously?), let go of ego baggage, told myself to turn inward on what truly makes me happy (7 month), focus on the creativity (3 year) of things I inherently enjoy doing (like photography – 9th house Venus for my 5th house profection), which *also* happens to support my recently renewed focus on photography (in general and as a source of income – 5th house Libra stuff). All of that wrapped up in my inherent 9th house Aquarius nature. Jesus fucking christ.
So that’s been my week. How was yours???
All that to say, I feel a weight lifted off me and I’m gonna be off the grid for a bit. Kinda paying attention to things, kinda not. Whatever. I don’t care. I’ll be focusing inward on my 9th house Venus stuff to support my 5th House Libra profection and my year of Pluto square natal Pluto.
Daaaaaaaaaamn, girl! This is so so so yummy!! The “I do what the fuck I want” business model is a favorite and I love that you’re tackling this from so many different angles, always coming back to the same centeredness with it all. HOORAY and I cannot wait to her your updates as you come back onto the grid. NO RUSH on that!!! This is so aligned and wonderful!
Here’s your write-up on February, if you prefer all the words! 😉 https://bonniegillespie.com/february-2021-by-the-astrologers-daughter
Popping in to say hi and also fuck all this super duper extra Aquarius bombardment because I want one night where I can go to bed early and also thank you all this super duper extra Aquarius bombardment because I think I just made a huge dent in my mid-life crisis quagmire and now I’ll be up for the next 5 hours excitedly being creative.
All that.
Yep.
I just finished a long-ass Zoom with one of my astrology course pods (I seriously have like three of them going on at once right now) and we were going OFF about all this Aquarius plus-extra-bonus-double-dose-of-all-of-it (oh, did I say “double”?!? Ha ha. That’s not what I meant; try 10x) energy.
I’ve been thinking about you a lot and hoping you’re finding some space for sanity in all the electric energy. It’s a bit like a live wire thrashing about and throwing off sparks at times, isn’t it?
It’s way more energy than I’m used to even with all my Aquarius. No joke, shortly after I popped in here last night I was working on a real-life jigsaw puzzle and said, “Who needs cocaine with all this Aquarius?” Looks like I’ve found my new log line.
Bwahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!
My head was spinning (in a good way!) after the January session. Since this was my first one, I have been digging in and trying to interpret all I’ve learned up to this point. I’m hoping I’m on the right path with what I’ve come up with below-
2021 is a “7” year for me – I’m in a year of introspection, learning, discovery, growth. This all feels right, especially after the last year!
I’m 53 so I’m in a 6th House Profection which is in Cancer. Cancer is ruled by the moon and this too happens to be in my 6th house. Is this a double whammy of needing nurturing/safety/comfort??
My confusion/question is – should I be wary of complacency with the comfort/safety of my 6th house Profection in Cancer? Or do I need this in order to go inward for my work in the 7th year of 2021? Is this my “medicine”?
I know this sounds simplistic but I’m taking baby steps here! I’m sure my Aquarius rising which is ruled by Uranus and Saturn is playing some part here too! Speaking of Aquarius, I see in the comments that people are noting they are feeling extra energy with more Aquarius. Not here! I’m feeling extra drained and wonder why I cant’ get some of that energy – bonus though – I am sleeping very well! Not too sure where the Virgo Sun comes!
This really is so much fun and so interesting to truly dig down and see how they all work/come together.
Thanks so much and looking forward to Tuesday!

So glad you’re able to rest through all the frenetic energy out there. Could be, because Aquarius is your rising, that you’re already accustomed to much of the vibe and it’s just not stirring you up like it is a lot of other folks. ENJOY THAT!! 🙂 The extra drained part of it all though may just be Mars in Taurus. You have a day chart so Mars’ placement could be taking something out of you a bit. We’ll be discussing the sect stuff in a future month to go deeper on that!
If you’re in a 7 year, you’re doing inner work, preppping to become the butterfly in the 8 year.
As for the 6th house profection year, because your work is in the 6th house (daily tasks, jobbie-job stuff, health and hygiene) and that’s Cancer for you, yes, you look for where the moon is (since the moon rules Cancer) and, yes, you’ve nailed it, that’s right back in the 6th house!
So, that means both the work AND the medicine are in the same place. Nurturing, mothering, comfort, and fierce protection are Cancer traits. But remember Cancer is a Cardinal sign, so it’s also a leader and there’s some tenacity that’s unmatched in the zodiac, thanks to the grip of that killer claw. 😉
More than anything, I’d be tuning into my intuition like crazy. Really tuning those antennae to feel your way through decisions rather than think/logic your way through them. Especially decisions around 6th house issues.
Does that help?
You’re doing GREAT! 🙂 Excited for our jam sesh on Tuesday!
This helps a lot. Thanks so much! See you tomorrow!
I don’t know if anyone is going to see this comment since we’re in April right now, but this is the place to comment on my profection year. I have a new chart which is now based on my actual, true birth time. So I watching every month’s zoom all over again to re-adjust my findings.
I am currently in a 3rd house profection year.
3rd house is communication, siblings, short travel, friends
Aquarius is in my 3rd house. Aquarius is ruled by Saturn. Saturn is in the 6th house in Taurus.
(This is the part that I’m not 100% confident about — I incorporated Saturn, 6th house, & 3rd house in this statement) : I need to focus on 6th house things to support 3rd house things. Therefore, I need to focus on creating structure/restore systems/restore order in my daily practices/health & healing/systems to support my communication/siblings/short travel/friends. It seems like a really general statement. Could it be that by creating more structure around my daily practices (stuff for my career) and use this structure to continue to support my health & healing, that will in the end create a foundation (support) for anything I do where I communicate (acting, narrating audiobooks, representing a family member in a business venture) which may also involve short travel where I get to see siblings or friends.
If I were to say how I’ve seen this play out already: I’ve been doing a ton of short travel to help a family member that required me to communicate a lot. Because those 4-hour drives have tired me out in the past and I was doing them twice a week, I had come up with a routine of my caffeinated drink at the start of the trip, listen to my favorite audiobook along the way, etc, etc. And I visited with some friends from college the last time I went there. There will be sibling stuff this year likely in relation to this as well.
I also narrated an audiobook a month ago and, because I wasn’t consistently recording every day, I had to catch up at the end and had to re-record several chapters due to vocal overuse which would not have been a problem had I been consistent and recorded in smaller increments on a daily basis — so, lesson learned.
And, finally, the necessity for me to go back to the consistent daily practice I had last year in regards to working on my craft. My daughter just started an IOP program this week which is 3:30-6:30pm and, because of how far away it is, it makes sense to just hang out while she’s there — I’ve chosen to use that time to work on my craft…3 hours of uninterrupted, undistracted time. Trying to find some silver linings. This little tidbit includes short travel, communication, daily practices.
My guess is that as the year goes on, and things pop up, because I already have this awareness, I can go “oh, here’s an area (communication, short travel, siblings, friends) where focusing on systems for daily practices or health & healing can best support those endeavors” and will hopefully bring some ease or flow into my life.
This is so great!! YES to all of this. 🙂 When you’re able to take that little extra moment of mindfulness and look for ways that Saturn/6th/Taurus can create supportive choices around your 3rd house themes for the year, you’ll create a sense of ease around it all. Hooray! So good to see you digging in so deeply, April!
